Corberán: “I’m very happy with the team’s character and personality”
The Valencia CF coach looks back at the win over RCD Espanyol
The defender talks to VCF Media
After the victory against RCD Espanyol, fullback Jesús Vázquez expressed his pleasure with the latest win.
A vital victory
It was very important for us to string together two wins in a row, so we could start climbing out of the relegation zone and looking towards the top of the table.
Fighting until the end
It pretty much sums up the season and what we want to show: That we're going to fight until the end, that we're going to give it our all. Today it paid off.
Back-to-back LALIGA wins
We wanted to win away from home above all else, as which we hadn't done. And then to continue that winning streak here at Mestalla, which is very important for us.
A potential turning point
It's very important, as I said before, and it has to be a turning point. We have to keep this momentum going. We've managed to break a run of results that wasn't helping us. Things have also gone well in terms of the defence. So, I'm very happy.
His personal performance
I'm very happy on an individual level. We have to keep working; there's still a long way to go. And, as I said, we need to keep this momentum going and hope for many more successes.
Ramazani's penalty
I'm very happy for him and very calm, because we practice them and I knew he was going to score. Now we just have to keep going.
The fixture list
Winning these matches is great for our morale. It means that we know we can do it. We just have to keep going like this and I'm sure the results will come.
